Put A Heart On It

Put a little Valentine's Day love into your little one's wardrobe by adding a patch with this very simple DIY.

SUPPLIES:
  • pants or shirt
  • sticky-backed felt (i found this sheet at Michaels craft store)
  • heart template
  • sharpie marker
  • needle and thread (i ended up using embroidery floss instead of thread)
  • scissors

Trace the heart shape on the back of the felt

Cut out the heart

Peel off the backing

Place the heart in the desired location (i used this patch to cover up a hole on the tooshie)

Use embroidery thread to sew around the edge of the patch

I used a blanket stitch (here's a video on how to do the blanket stitch)

Check out little miss sassy pants.  All ready for her daycare Valentine's Day party!

Oh boy, are we in trouble!

xo, Jenn

  7. I LOVE the title of your blog. It reminded me of my aunt, who used to chase me around - shouting to the world she wanted to "pinch my squishy cheeks!" What she really did was cover them with her bright red lipstick.
