Loving… my new face and body scrub from The Gnarly Whale. I was so excited to get my order from The Gnarly Whale yesterday and had to try it out right away. The tea tree face and body scrub is amazing. It smells so great and it isn’t too greasy, so my skin didn’t feel greasy after using it. I even used it on my face! I plan on using it once a week to start with. If you haven’t checked out all of the delicious smelling vegan products from The Gnarly Whale, you should. (and no, I’m not getting paid to say that)
Cleaning... everything! I’m getting ready for a garage sale next month and have been busy purging. It’s such a great feeling to get rid of all the unnecessary stuff (great metaphor for life as well). With any luck, by the end of September I should be able to park in my garage again.
Working... unfortunately! Ryan and I are both back to work full time this week and it has really, really been hard on all of us. Waking up early, late night football practice, Peanut not wanting to go to daycare, and not being able to spend time together. I’m pretty sure I've thought more about working from home this week than ever before. And that’s why I’m also working on growing my cupcake and handmade businesses. I've had a handful of cupcake orders and recently make some heavenly champagne mini cupcakes for a wedding. This weekend I will be making the cake pops for a shower. Now, that’s the kind of work I can look forward to. If you are in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area check out my Cupcake page for all of the info.
Creating... bows, bows, and more bows. I taught myself to crochet this past week and have been making the most adorable little bows for hair clips and ties. They will be coming to the shop soon!
Watching… the clock. Every day 3:30 can’t get here fast enough so I can swim out to my car (the heat and humidity here have been insane) and drive the 8 minutes (if I hit every green light) it takes to get to my Peanut to get her from daycare. And every day, she’s cried when she sees me because she is so happy to get picked up. Oh, my heart; my aching heart.
